New Year's Wish

We have not met, you and I, perhaps we never will,
for you live in a beautiful land, far far away!
A land of mountains, and jungles that meet the sea
where islands hide in a simmer-haze
held in a silence so deep, you can touch
for one magic second, how heaven must be.
Let your spirit soar with the sun, sleep with the moon,
seek solace and strength from the hills
the sea, and the run a a fast running river.
Speak to the stars, each is a friend, and wishes you well.
Greet rain, wind, snow and storms with eagerness,
use both hands to gather dreams, for these
are useful when your world grows bleak.
Give your all with courage, loyalty and generosity of spirit.
If the heart is low, mix music with love, move on!
Trust your instinct, be brave and true to yourself.
Try not to live in offices, instead seek space,
rejoice in stillness, silence and simplicity.
Revere your history, be proud of achievements,
embrace joy, and fun, fly slopes in a hiss of snow.
Delight in companionship and the glow of giving.
Learn to smile as your heart breaks
when you see shadows in another’s eyes.
Rise with the eagles on thermals of hope,
strive for the best in all that you do,
remember, winning is incidental, not ultimate.
To reach lifes heights listen well to the pathos of pipes
for this is ultimate!
And when you grow old, for you surely will,
look back and rejoice in all you did,
and know that you lived your dream.
Take comfort, for fireflies will always dance in the dusk
as the call to prayer flutters, and drifts
fluting and sweet, calling you home.
Know it was good, and all is well....

And when I hear again, the haunting cry of a swan,
lifting over a golden lake at dawn,
I will know your tale is told.
And all will be well.

All will be well.
